We enjoyed a lovely meal here on Wednesday evening. The food was excellent, waiting time for the meal was very acceptable and the staff were very helpful and accommodating to dietary requirements. They showed prefessionalism at all times. We had trouble getting a taxi at the end but the staff went over and above our expectations in making us comfortable and arranging an alternative taxi service for us. We will definitely be visiting again.

Great staff, very friendly, professional and personable. The food is really very well cooked, hot and the service is very quick. It is so good I have, having eaten at the Horse and Jockey twice, have booked two more events.

Popped in here in the way back from the National Arboretum - it was 5om on a Thursday. Staff very welcoming - excellent menu choices. Mom & bestie had Shepherds Pie and fresh veg which was apparently fab - I had three sausages (Welsh Dragon, Cumberland & pork) which were lush. Hot and delicious - definitely visiting here again

Visited the Horse and Jockey for a meal after many years since our last visit . The food was served piping hot and was very good,I enjoyed my burger it was delicious the portion size was good . The Staff were lovely service with a smile but not too overbearing . The only negative thing I can say is that there was a very strange smell in the dining room , maybe because its an older building that smelt musty .

Passing by we thought we'd stop to eat & so pleased we did. Menu prices average but the food was homecooked & worth every penny. Staff were friendly & very helpful. Very nice atmosphere.

Went to this pub Sunday 17th September food was not very nice I had roast gammon if that's want they call it as it was full of fat which they covered up by putting lots of gravy over it so as you could not see, service was poor, when we went to pay they just took off the price of the cauliflower cheese which was £3.50. Will not be going again.
